Yeah I know I need to stop disappearing off the face of the earth... but I'm back, from my travels this time! I returned to St Lucia an island in the Caribbean, as I mentioned I would be doing in my last post. This time spending 12 days there as the previous 8 day trip just wasn't enough! Despite staying longer this time we still didn't get to do and see everything we wanted to which I'm still rather sad about, however it just gives me another excuse to go back lol. Anyway we still had a great time nevertheless, lots of drinking and partying - not so much relaxing! We stopped off in Barbados for a few hours before heading to St Lucia, although our stop over was only like 3 hours or so I thought we may still have managed to see a crumb of the island... I was wrong. Being in a group of 7, someone was bound to cause a delay. Turns out someone's luggage was overweight so we spent ages waiting for her luggage to arrive and then having to check it back in, paying a fee etc. So yeah our time in Barbados was cut short buuuut we did manage to try the famous Chefette that everyone talks about! (I now know why). So after a long day of travelling we eventually arrived at our villa around 9pm, normal people would call it a night but no we got ready and headed straight out lol. The second night was the opening of the Jazz Festival, where we saw Mavado! He isn't a great performer I won't lie but the night was vibes regardless. The rest of our time on the island was literally spent turning up at our events * #IslandXscape * so I won't bore you detailing how much alcohol I consumed. But what I will say is you haven't yet visited St. Lucia I would definitely recommend you do. There is a ton of culture to take in, beautiful scenery, night life... just everything really!
Here are some pictures from the trip..
